Bruce Sack, PT

Bruce Sack, Physical Therapist, is an alumnus of Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Mn. He has served on faculty in the University of Florida’s Physical Therapy department and has held clinical leadership positions in several health care institutions in North Central Florida over the past 25 years. He has earned the APTA endorsed Vestibular Rehabilitation Certification through Emory University. He has helped to pilot and manage innovative fall prevention programs for Home Health Agencies, has served as an Orthopedic Director for services provided over a large segment of North Florida and has served as a consultant to Suwannee River Area Health Education Council and Elder Options of North Florida.

Bruce enjoys time with his family. He has been a coach for volleyball teams at A Girl's Place as well as other area club teams. When he gets the chance, he likes to golf, scuba dive, and get in trips to museums.

 

Rhoda Chiarelli, PT

Rhoda has worked as a therapist and manager of therapy services in home care and rehabilitation centers. Rhoda received her BS of Health Education from Cal State University Northridge and then worked as a PTA in California before attending Physical Therapy school in The Netherlands. She graduated in 1998 with her PT degree and has specialized in neurorehabilitation for treatment of Stroke and brain injury survivors. She has worked in California and Florida in acute care hospital settings, rehabilitation settings, outpatient care settings and home care.

Rhoda enjoys spending time with her three girls and husband traveling, camping, attending UF sporting events, going to the theatre, and going to the movies.

 

Angie Newmans, PTA

Angie has been a physical therapist assistant at North Florida Regional Medical Center and Rehab facilities around the Gainesville area for 15 years now.  She has also done home care over the past 14 years.  She has recieved specialty training in balance and vestibular problems and has been certified as a strength trainer for the Geriatric patient population.

Angie enjoys time raising her son and has been very instrumental in helping to get her mother through a liver transplant.

 

 

Tim Simmons, PTA

Tim is a recent graduate of the Florida Gateway College's Physical Therapist Assistant program. He has experience in acute care, outpatient, and skilled nursing facilities. We gladly welcome Tim and his eagerness to learn and commitment to safe and effective patient care.

Tim enjoys spending time outdoors, with friends and family, and drawing in his free time.

 

 

 

Meg Sack, OTR/L

University of Florida graduate, has worked in rehabilitation settings and home care services in the Gainesville area for more than 20 years.  She has developed expertise in Stroke Rehabilitation and is recognized for her creative and effective safe adaptations of home settings.

Meg enjoys maintaining her aquariums and her garden.  She continues to volunteer extensively in local school activities.

 

 

 

Carol Yeats, OTR/L

A graduate from the University of Florida, Carol has worked in therapy for over 20 years and was a Certified Hand Therapist from '92 to '05.

In her spare time, Carol enjoys boating with her family.

 

 

 

 

Erin Waters

Erin has been an Administrative Assistant for four years and is a current student at Santa Fe College. She has a great appreciation for the fine arts, after 16 years of ballet and other dance areas. She and her husband enjoy taking their daughter and two boys to soccer, gymnastics, and basketball practices. Erin spends her few free moments at the gym, swimming, or reading. Being from Pennsylvania, she really enjoys the warmth and all the outdoor activities Florida has to offer.

 

 

 

Meghan Blake, MPT

Megan has been a Physical Therapist for 12 years in rehab, schools and home health settings. She earned a Bachlors's of Science in Therapeutic Recreation at the University of Florida and a Bachlor's of Health Science at the University of Kentucky. She earned her Master's in Physical Therapy at the University of Kentucky.

Meghan and her husband stay busy with their four boys and their afterschool activities.

 

 

Devin Hughey

Devin has been a student working with us for over a year now. Currently working as our Marketing and Promotions Assistant, her true passion is Physical Therapy and will begin the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program this Fall semester at the University of Florida. We are glad to have her on board while we can and look forward to her as an addition to the field.

Devin enjoys doing things that keep her active, like surfing, swimming, and Swing Dancing. She also loves being creative and draws, paints, and crochets whenever she gets the chance. After graduation, she wants to practice for several years before teaching at a local university and wishes to use her skills on medical mission trips around the world.
